After facing financial ruin, Gwen Stevens is compelled to go back to her deserted childhood residence in an attempt to rebuild her life. Amidst the remnants and memories of her earlier years, she realizes that someone else has taken up residence in the house and is unwilling to vacate. Isolated in the New Mexico desert, far from any help, Gwen must struggle to safeguard the only thing she still possesses: her life.
