2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams

When this year’s group of unsuspecting Northerners doesn’t arrive for the annual Guts N’ Glory Jamboree, the inhabitants of Pleasant Valley decide to take their gruesome festivities on tour. They travel to Iowa, where they meet the pampered heiresses Rome and Tina Sheraton, along with the cast and crew of their reality show, “Road Rascals.” Presenting “The Bloodiest Show on Earth,” these Southern maniacs demonstrate that they are more than just a threat to TV ratings. As John Landis has noted, this sequel is one of the few that outshines the original.
