River Red

A young man is forced to take the life of his alcoholic and abusive father to shield his younger sibling. Understanding that his brother would face a lighter sentence, he confesses to the act and ends up in prison. Meanwhile, the older brother discovers that his family is burdened with significant debt, and his earnings from washing dishes and selling firewood are insufficient. Consequently, he embarks on a spree of convenience store robberies in nearby towns. Upon returning home, he claims to have received a modest inheritance. However, he is plagued by guilt and finds it difficult to pursue a new romantic relationship due to this hidden truth. The film centers on his internal battle to find the right path forward.
