A Novel Romance

Nate Shepherd, in his late 40s, and Jenny Sparks, in her early 30s, cross paths at an upscale restaurant in New York. Both are complete strangers who have endured a terrible day and are anticipating meeting their significant others. As they converse, they disclose that they are each meeting someone new that evening, only to soon discover that they are actually waiting for one another. After Nate is dismissed from his comfortable position at an advertising firm, leading to the end of his relationship, and Jenny loses her boyfriend to a drug overdose, Nate’s ex-girlfriend proposes that they become roommates to share living expenses and support each other through their hardships. As their bond deepens, it evolves into a loving yet complex relationship.
