North Wind: Broken Time

China’s rapidly growing animation industry has made its mark with the release of “Shuo Feng — Po Zhen Zi,” an action-packed epic helmed by director Zheng Wu and adapted from an online novel by A Nu. The film unfolds in the eighth century, amidst the Tang dynasty era in China. It takes cues from actual historical conflicts, showcasing the clashes between Chinese troops and the Islamic Abbasid Caliphate, as well as the Tibetan Empire, in Central Asia.
