At the age of 10, Australian native Andi Gibson claimed to have a close encounter with a UFO, which led everyone to think she was out of her mind. However, 17 years later, on a fateful night, a fleet of alien spacecraft launches an attack across Australia and inexplicably abducts her mother. To make matters worse, other countries, feeling slighted for not being targeted, refuse to assist Australia. Now, Andi, along with her hypochondriac brother Elliot, her retired boxer cousin Keith, and her documentary filmmaker friend Cam, must thwart the invasion and save her mother. With the help of Andi’s enigmatic and somewhat embarrassing father, the group faces off against car-chasing spaceships, martial-arts aliens, giant killer robots, and a flood of family secrets in their quest to protect Australia. It’s going to be one hell of a long night.
