A Christmas Wish

MARTHA EVANS finds herself deserted by her irresponsible husband, who absconded with all their money, leaving her and her two daughters and stepson without a home and nearly penniless. In search of employment and shelter, Martha moves to a new town and secures a position at a quiet country diner, once renowned for its homemade root beer. Despite her car breaking down and mounting expenses, the Evans family faces the prospect of a dismal Christmas.
