Absolute Deception

A widowed journalist enlists a federal agent to delve into her deceased husband’s hidden past, only to find themselves pursued by mysterious assailants. When FBI Agent John Nelson’s crucial informant, Miles, is kidnapped and shot, leaving behind just a severed finger, Nelson heads to New York City. There, he informs Rebecca Scott, a widowed magazine journalist, that her supposedly long-dead husband, Miles, was only recently killed, and asks if she had any contact with him in recent years. Confounded, Scott teams up with Agent Nelson and travels to the affluent Gold Coast of Australia to uncover the truth. They soon unravel that Miles might have been involved in a complex Ponzi scheme, defrauding investors and a vengeful billionaire of millions. As they peel back the layers of Miles’ secretive life, they must outpace the enigmatic attackers determined to thwart their investigation.
