Amarufi: Megami no hôshû
A Japanese diplomat named Kosaku Kuroda arrives in the city following reports of a possible terrorist threat in Italy. Acting on instructions from his superior at the Foreign Ministry, Hiroshi Kataoka (played by Kiichi Nakai), Kuroda’s mission is to help protect Japanese nationals. His primary contacts at the Japanese embassy include Ambassador Kikuhara, Counselor Nishino, and fellow diplomats Haba and Tanimoto. They are all occupied with preparations for the upcoming visit of Japanese Foreign Minister Kawagoe, who is attending the prominent G8 foreign ministers’ meeting. Meanwhile, amidst the city’s festive lights, a young Japanese girl has mysteriously disappeared. Is this a straightforward kidnapping for ransom, or does it signal the onset of a terrorist act?
