Bronx Obama

Louis Ortiz, a Puerto Rican man in his forties living in the Bronx, finds himself in a tough spot until one day he looks in the mirror and sees an opportunity—he’s a spitting image of Barack Obama. Inspired by the prospect of achieving the American Dream, the charming Ortiz embarks on a transformation. He dresses in Obama’s signature suit, adopts his gestures, imitates his voice, and ventures out as a presidential look-alike. With the help of a casting agent, Ortiz joins a group of political impersonators, including those mimicking Bill Clinton and Mitt Romney, as they travel around performing comedic debates at predominantly Republican events leading up to the 2012 presidential election. This journey puts Ortiz at odds with his own political views. As he struggles to make a living, the gap between his life in the Bronx and the world of the White House becomes more pronounced. It turns out, living like a president isn’t as simple as it seems.
