Chihayafuru Part 1

In the sixth grade, Chihaya Ayase encountered Arata Wataya, a new student from Fukui Prefecture. She had been friends with Taichi Mashima since childhood. The trio bonded over the traditional card game, karuta. Fast forward four years, and Chihaya is now in high school. She discovers that Arata, who returned to Fukui, has stopped playing karuta. Determined to reunite with him, Chihaya and Taichi establish a karuta club at their high school.
