Newcomer Cassie (Brandon Alexander III) and outsider Maggie (Dudley Beene) are undoubtedly the most socially awkward students at their high school. They hatch a plan to capture the attention of the attractive boys and the popular girls by clinching victory at the school’s talent show. However, their adversaries, Heather, Other Heather, and their well-liked boyfriends Brett and Dirk, are determined to ensure that Cassie and Maggie remain the school’s laughingstock. To outshine their competition in classic 80s fashion, they’ll need to undergo transformations, summon their bravery, and perhaps even throw in some rapping.
