Locked Away

Michael Turner makes an unexpected return from the Iraq war to his small hometown, where he is greeted by a relieved family—and a horde of the undead. His younger brother accidentally unleashes a flesh-eating creature, prompting the young soldier to embark on a mission to save him and reunite with his scattered family, including an estranged girlfriend and her new partner. As they gather, Michael takes on the responsibility of protecting the survivors through a gruesome night. They find temporary refuge in a local high school, hoping for a semblance of safety, but their actions inadvertently force Michael to confront the horrors of his past misdeeds. Battling his own inner demons, Michael entrusts a local science professor with finding a solution to the terrifying invasion, praying his family doesn’t suffer the consequences. Yet, he realizes he has no choice but to embark on a solitary journey down the dark path that everyone dreads.
