As the final evening unfolds for the team at a mental institution, a skeleton crew of guards and researchers remains to monitor the patients before their transfer to a high-security facility. Dr. Helen Kingford, grappling with feelings of abandonment, is on the verge of resigning from her role as a psychologist. Meanwhile, the recently retired head of security embarks on a reckless plan that plunges the asylum into chaos and destruction. Amidst the turmoil, the dangerous inmates break free from their padded cells. Dr. Kingford regains consciousness to find herself bound in the hospital morgue. Unsure of whom to trust, she must flee from everyone in a desperate bid for survival.
