The Samurai Cop is ready to take on the bad guys and chew bubblegum, having already borrowed from enough films and clichés to keep this intro brief. This so-called Samurai cop has journeyed from the distant land of San Diego to Los Angeles. Because, naturally, setting the film in San Diego or having the cop originate from LA—or even Japan—wouldn’t make any sense. Expect to see beheadings, explosions, awkwardly inserted stunt doubles, clumsy dialogue, conspicuous lion heads, and some unfortunate fashion choices in this film that screams late ’80s and early ’90s.
