Samuel Beckett is Coming Soon

In Alan Arkin’s film “Samuel Beckett is Coming Soon…”, two actors, Tony A and Tony Z, embark on a journey along a road with a tree, capturing the essence of their world. Stranded far from home and yearning for fame, recognition, or simply an audience, the Tonys are oblivious to how their lives echo the tragicomedy of “Waiting for Godot.” As they travel through the Southland, they encounter far less than they anticipated while attempting to present Beckett’s masterpiece to a largely indifferent contemporary audience.
