Somebodys There

A group of seven friends ventures into the remote wilderness of Connemara, Co. Galway, for a weekend getaway to mark the one-year anniversary of a dear friend. On their first night, they encounter a battered and bloodied man seeking assistance, who warns them that he was attacked by three masked individuals who also abducted his girlfriend. Some of the friends venture into the forest to search for her, while others return to find their cars missing. Stranded without transportation and with no houses nearby, they are forced to walk back, but they are not alone. Captured entirely on film, “Somebody’s There” is a gripping thriller that elevates the documentary style to new heights.
