The Portuguese Falcon

Set during the era of fascist rule in Portugal, this series offers a satirical take on the anti-communist hysteria of the time. It chronicles the escapades of Captain Falcão, a fervently patriotic “Lusitanian superhero” who dutifully executes the commands of António de Oliveira Salazar in his battle against the “red threat.” The cast features Gonçalo Waddington as Captain Falcão, David Chan Cordeiro—who also oversees stunt coordination—as his sidekick Puto Perdiz, and José Pinto portraying the Portuguese dictator, António de Oliveira Salazar.
