USS Seaviper

In this direct-to-DVD film, the German submarine U-234 departs from Kiel to engage in a cargo exchange with the Japanese. The mission of the USS Seaviper is to intercept and halt this perilous transaction. The Seaviper’s captain is tasked with going ashore for reconnaissance on an island near Sumatra, leaving the submarine under the command of Mister Cutter after the Executive Officer is wounded in combat. Tensions rise between Cutter and the Chief of the Boat, endangering the vessel. Trapped beneath the ocean’s surface with dwindling oxygen supplies, the Seaviper is pursued by a Japanese destroyer above. The submarine’s damage further threatens its survival. The crew must confront the Japanese destroyer and relay critical information about U-235 back to Pearl Harbor.
