Welcome to the Sticks

Julie, residing in the picturesque town of Salon-de-Provence in Southern France, has been struggling with feelings of depression despite her comfortable lifestyle. In an effort to lift her spirits, her husband Philippe Abrams, who works as a post office administrator, attempts to secure a transfer to a coastal town on the French Riviera. However, his plans go awry when he is caught attempting to deceive an inspector. As a result, Philippe is swiftly reassigned to the remote and unfamiliar town of Bergues, located in the far northern reaches of France.
