After the passing of her distant sister Nikki, whom she hadn’t seen since their separation in foster care, Carly is taken aback to discover that Nikki’s will appoints her as the guardian of Nikki’s adopted daughter, Mallie. Relocating across the country to fulfill her sister’s last wishes, Carly soon discovers that Mallie has inherited a significant fortune.
