Grandmother Maria, along with Sam and the equestrian coach Kaan, are working together to maintain Gut Kaltenbach, which is facing financial challenges. Isabell, who is driven by her own hidden agenda, offers her assistance. Meanwhile, the spirited Ari arrives for riding lessons at Kaltenbach and forms a unique bond with Windstorm, the titular horse of the film series, while also befriending Mika. Together, Mika and Ari strive to rescue the estate and shield Windstorm from the irresponsible horse trainer Thordur Thorvaldson.
